Allie Bloomfield

Primary Midwife/Owner

I’m Allison (Allie) - Community Midwife, mama to two, married to my best friend, living on the Blue Mountain just below the Appalachian trail.

My path to birth work began shortly after the birth of my first baby in 2015. Having experienced firsthand the disconnect and mistreatment that often permeates standard obstetric care- I felt the call to support women in reclaiming their experiences. First, as a doula in all birth settings, then as a midwife assistant, before taking the plunge into midwifery school and apprenticeship.

BMB is founded on the belief that birth is a Rite of Passage- a sacred initiation that lays the foundation forward- for ourselves and this new iteration of our families (and really the world!).

It is truly my soul’s calling to support women in coming home to their innate wisdom, birthing their babies in power, and divesting from systems that cause harm and mistrust in our bodies.

Brooke Volpe

Second Midwife/Back-Up Midwife

Brooke and Allie met at a Neonatal Resuscitation Training in 2022 and realized very quickly how similar their values were- not just in midwifery, but in life and mothering and everything we hold most dear! They attended their first birth together in July of 2023 and have been supporting each other’s clients with love ever since!

Having a second midwife to attend your birth and be a part of your care holds immense value. We are always picking each other’s brain and leaning on one another to be able to offer truly wholistic, sustainable care.
